Hi!

My name is Katie! I am a UK-based watercolour wildlife and nature artist, born and bred in the small town of Warwick! I create expressive, colourful paintings of various animals and nature. My journey into the world of painting has been a lifelong passion, rooted in my childhood love for drawing. Art was always my favourite subject, and my small business allows me to express my creativity while celebrating our love for animals, whether domestic or wild!

My work didn't always look the way it does now. I originally focused on realism, and whilst that was a wonderful way to paint, I found greater joy in expressing myself through my paintings by using more vibrant colours in a more free-flowing and expressive style. 

Being a single mum to one human and one dog adds a beautiful layer to my artistic journey. My little one and my furry friend inspire and drive me on a daily basis. I strive to reflect the love I feel for them in every portrait and painting I create.

Turning my passion into a career has been both challenging and rewarding. I feel it takes courage to step out into the world on your own and build a small business, especially as a single parent. However, the support from my family, friends and fellow artists has been invaluable.

I believe art has a unique way of bringing people together. Whether it’s through a commissioned piece, or a simple conversation about our pets or animals in general, I cherish the moments when my work resonates with others. Each painting tells a story, and I am honoured to be a part of that narrative. Art is not just about aesthetics; it’s about emotion, connection, and our memories.
